Bad Aussee

This past weekend I went with my Hosting Rotary Club for Gmunden along with Mercedes, the other exchange student being hosted by them from Argentina and we all went to a stunning place called Bad Aussee. It has many lakes (and of course mountains). So on Friday we all went for a walk along some of the lakes, and then went on a boat ride across one of the lakes which supposedly was the resting place of the rest of the hidden Nazi gold. But no one will ever know now, because all diving is now prohibited. Anyway, we traveled along to the other side of the lake where we proceeded to get off and explore a hidden lake that was cut off from the rest of the world. It reminded me of Hidden Valley Ranch because it was so secluded and serene and perfect.

Then we boated back and then ate at the Gasthof that was on the edge of the lake. It was all so picture-perfect.

The hotel we stayed in was by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in and likely to stay in again. The Rotarians were kind enough to pay for my hotel bill (how nice!) and all the meals we ate throughout the course of the weekend! The hotel was all eco-friendly and had a heated indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a sauna ( which I wasn't allowed to go in because you have to be 18 :(  ) and of course just having the most spectacular view of the mountains and fog in the morning was breathtaking. Here's some pictures of the hotel :

So then the rest of the weekend was mostly sightseeing and eating, both which I enjoy. I took a ton of pictures so here we go:

Thanks to everybody who reads this! Means a lot to me. Dont be afraid to comment or say hello... haha
